The July schedules cover commercial and industrial service
KUB’s official business-rate page and Resolution 1493 schedules identify nonresidential water, nonresidential wastewater, and extra-strength wastewater rates effective July 1, 2026. The standard schedules apply to commercial and industrial customers, but the correct price path depends on the account.
This page does not blend inside-city and outside-city rates. It also does not assume that one meter, standard-strength wastewater, or the declared two-inch service matches every property.
Fixed meter charges
Water and wastewater each carry a meter-based customer charge
For a two-inch meter, the monthly water customer charge is $135.00 inside the city or $150.00 outside. The corresponding wastewater charge is $111.00 inside or $122.00 outside. Those are separate fixed lines before volume charges.
The published schedules run from 5/8-inch through 12-inch meters, and KUB says accounts with multiple meters can receive a customer charge for each meter. The declared model therefore uses one two-inch meter and keeps its combined $246.00 fixed amount unchanged.
Water volume
Six CCF blocks set the nonresidential water charge
Inside-city water is $3.85 per CCF for the first 2 CCF, $6.25 for the next 8, $6.45 for the next 90, $6.25 for the next 300, $3.50 for the next 4,600, and $1.60 above 5,000 CCF. One CCF equals 748 gallons.
Outside-city water uses the same block sizes at $4.30, $6.95, $7.30, $6.95, $4.00, and $1.80 per CCF. Do not apply the inside-city example to an outside-city account or treat one block as a universal marginal rate.
Wastewater volume
Wastewater can amplify the usage-linked part of the bill
Inside-city wastewater is $4.15 per CCF for the first 2 CCF, $13.15 for the next 8, $13.00 for the next 90, $11.60 for the next 300, $9.40 for the next 4,600, and $5.60 above 5,000 CCF. Outside-city rates for those blocks are $4.55, $14.45, $14.40, $12.85, $10.35, and $6.10.
KUB generally bases wastewater quantity on water recorded by the meter, but the schedule includes provisions for customers whose discharge is separately measured and for unmetered water service. The actual account treatment controls; the model assumes the standard inside-city path.
Strength treatment
BOD and suspended solids are separate from standard wastewater volume
KUB’s extra-strength schedule lists applicability at biochemical oxygen demand above 2,000 pounds per million gallons, or 240 mg/L, and suspended solids above 2,500 pounds per million gallons, or 300 mg/L. Laboratory analysis determines the excess contribution.
The additional rates are $35.30 per 100 pounds of excess BOD and $33.75 per 100 pounds of excess suspended solids. Those charges are not in the standard model, and lower water volume does not by itself prove that pollutant mass or an extra-strength charge will fall.

Multiple meters and conditional lines need an actual-bill review
A property with multiple meters may have more fixed charges than the one-meter example. Outside-city service, wastewater exceptions, extra-strength treatment, fire service, the system-wide infrastructure charge, taxes, late charges, adjustments, and other account-specific lines also remain outside the partial totals.
Start with the bill’s service location, meter inventory, CCF, water and wastewater customer charges, volume blocks, and any strength line. Only then compare the statement with the current schedules.
