NEORSD’s official rate page says trustees adopted the 2027–2031 sewer and stormwater schedule at the July 16 public meeting. The first new schedule takes effect January 1, 2027.
The linked official rate sheet lists regular-sewage charges of $12.15 plus $133.35/MCF in 2027, $12.40 plus $136.00/MCF in 2028, $12.65 plus $138.70/MCF in 2029, $12.90 plus $141.45/MCF in 2030, and $13.15 plus $144.30/MCF in 2031. This page models only 2027.
Native billing unit
MCF is ten CCF, so the unit belongs beside every rate
NEORSD prices regular sewage by MCF, or 1,000 cubic feet. That equals 10 CCF and approximately 7,480 gallons. A 20 MCF monthly sewer volume therefore represents 200 CCF, or approximately 149,600 gallons—not 20 CCF.
Commercial teams should copy the billed sewer quantity and its unit directly from the account. Converting MCF incorrectly by a factor of ten would invalidate both a forecast and an operational target.
Industrial account path
SSCBOUTS can change the billed-discharge basis, but eligibility is conditional
NEORSD says commercial and industrial customers using more than 50,000 cubic feet of water annually may apply for the Sewer Service Charge Based Upon Usage of the System program. An approved account can use documented wastewater discharge rather than assuming all purchased water reaches the sewer.
The reviewed program page lists a $620 application fee and a $310 annual fee. Cooling towers, boilers, irrigation, and water incorporated into products are examples of non-discharge uses, but a site must document its conditions and receive program treatment. High-strength BOD, COD, or TSS wastewater is a different billing issue and may add surcharges.
Stormwater boundary
Impervious-area stormwater credits follow a different decision path
NEORSD’s fee-and-credit guidance offers nonresidential quantity and quality credit paths tied to stormwater controls and impervious-area treatment. Those conditions are property- and program-specific.
Metered indoor water reduction does not by itself change an impervious-surface fee. Keep stormwater outside the sewer-volume model and review an actual parcel and approved credit documentation separately.
